Christmas Parking Chaos

Both Gatwick and Stansted airports suffered major disruption to their forecourts and car parks over the Christmas period. With customers reporting delays and congestion to their staff, I Love meet and greet is passing on the feedback directly to the airport's parking departments.
We are obviously concerned that our customers are being inconvenienced due to these issues and we are apologising to them all, but in the majority of cases, the airport is adversely affecting our service too" explains Sarah Anglim, managing director of I Love meet and greet

At Gatwick, the police were called as customers waiting for their cars to be returned to them in the airport car parks were kept waiting for up to eight hours. Un-approved operators are regularly using the car parks at Gatwick Airport to collect and pick-up customers, which confuses the airport user and without the appropriate manpower, these un-approved operators cause congestion for all customers.

"I Love meet and greet was one of the first operators to join Gatwick Airport's Approved Operators Scheme and we wholly support the airport's efforts to bring some much needed regulation to the airport parking industry." adds Sarah, " Every year we see a cowboy operator exposed in the newspapers or by Watchdog, causing huge damage to the reputation of the industry. We now need to educate the airport users to place their trust in schemes like the one at Gatwick and encourage them to look for Park Mark and trading standards endorsements like the Buy with Confidence scheme."
