Things to do at the airport before your flight

At I Love Meet and Greet, our valet parking service allows our customers to leave their cars right outside of the terminal, which not only leaves them with a hassle-free start to their holiday, but also gives them more time to explore the airport. For some, we understand that waiting for a flight can seem boring when all you want to do is get away, but it really doesn’t need to be.

Airport facilities have expanded and improved so much in recent years that you really can do anything whilst waiting to board a flight. From having a full body massage to eating a 3-course meal, there really is plenty of ways to make the most of your airport experience!

If you want to sit back and relax whilst waiting for a flight, there’s no denying that there’s plenty of things to look at it in an airport. If you’re the kind of person that loves to people watch, there’s no better place. However, if you have absolutely no interest in what others around you are doing then why not read a book or listen to music.

Hungry? In airports these days you can pretty much get any food that you may be craving. Whether that may be a quick fast food treat or an exquisite fine dine experience, chances are the airport you’re at will be able to cater for your needs. Although our hips may disagree, eating is a great way of passing time.

One thing that nobody can grumble about whilst discussing airports, is duty free. Exploring the tax free goods and stocking up on your essentials at discounted rates is both a fun and productive way of passing time. Even if you don’t want to spend money, why not just spray every available part of your exposed skin with expensive perfume/aftershave testers? Most duty free shops also offer free makeovers, so this is the perfect chance for the ladies to have a well-deserved pamper.

If you want to use your airport time productively, in most places you will be able to find Wi-Fi and therefore can access emails or work if you wish to do so. You can also occupy the time by calling someone that you have been meaning to speak to but haven’t had the chance or even a loved a one.

A fun game to play whilst waiting for your boarding gate to appear is to test yourself to see if you can correctly identify the countries for each of the destination cities listed on the departure screens. If you’re with other people, get competitive about it!

If we’ve convinced you that there’s really no need to ever be bored at the airport, remember to book your I Love Meet and Greet parking whilst booking your next holiday to allow you plenty of time to embrace the airport experience.
