Canaries Open for UK Travellers
Great news for travellers - the Canary Islands are open. Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria have now been listed on the Governments website as not needing quarantine on return. This means travel to the islands is now only subject to a few minor requirements when you enter.
On arrival, travellers entering the Canaries from the UK will not be required to self-isolate. However, they maybe subject to the following three requirements to:
- Provide a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of departure and present the results on entry from November 6th
- Undergo Temperature check
- Undergo a visual health assessment
This means you are free to travel Covid secure. At Gatwick you must wear a mask and its recommended to sanitise and wash your hands regularly.
Flying is easy and safe if you comply with the airline guidelines. Most planes have excellent filters ensuring clean air fills the cabin.
