Ignore the train – let us take the strain

I Love meet and greet, the UK’s favourite airport valet parking service, is suggesting that anyone who want to travel to the airport over the Christmas chooses to drive and use airport parking as the services offered by the rail operators is hugely reduced.

Gatwick

At Gatwick, 67,000 passengers are estimated to travel through the airport on Friday 22nd December. The Gatwick Express will run reduced services from 23rd December finishing at 8pm on Christmas Eve and with no trains on Christmas Day for Boxing Day.

Heathrow

London’s biggest airport will be even busier with an estimated 250,000 travellers on Friday. Neither Heathrow Express or Heathrow Connect will run from 24 to 28 December due to Network Rail improvement work

Stansted

There will be no Stansted Express on Christmas Day with departures every half hour across the Christmas period, although on New Year’s Day there will be a bus replacement service until approximately 1pm.

Sarah Anglim, founder and MD of I Love meet and greet, explains: “With even Heathrow Airport warning passengers to find alternative ways to the airport and to leave well in advance of their flight, meet and greet parking is the best way to park at the airport this Christmas. Our professional drivers meet you on the forecourt, right outside the terminal so you can go straight to check-in, whilst they park your car in our secure car park.”
