Park the Plastic

The UK’s favourite airport meet and greet parking operator, I Love meet and greet, has launched it's most ambitious environmental campaign to date. Starting from Easter, I Love meet and greet will be giving away packs of re-useable stainless steel straws to their customers. “Being associated with both the aviation and auto industries we recognise that travel does have an impact on the environment but we also realised that we are in the perfect position to affect real change for an issue like the plastic straw pollution of the seas” explains Sarah Anglim, founder and MD of I Love meet and greet, “We have 6,000 packs of stainless straws to give to our customers just as they are about to leave on their holiday – they can even use the straws for any drinks they order in the airport terminal before boarding their flight.”

“We chose Easter as the best time to launch our latest environmental initiative because the numbers flying at this time are huge, this is the first big holiday of the year, and so we can also raise awareness amongst many more people.”

I Love meet and greet’s pack of re-useable stainless straws contains four straws, a cleaning brush, all protected by an eco-friendly jute pouch.

From building better bee habitats at their head office, through supporting WeForest’s planting trees schemes, counting bees with the Great British Bee Count to being involved in Butterfly Watch schemes, I Love meet and greet has a proud history of supporting environmental projects.
