Ryan Air - 12 new routes

Ryanair is set to open 12 new routes at London Stansted from April of this year. Flying to Basel, Bordeaux, Brive, Bucharest, Comiso, Dortmund, Lisbon, Osijek, Podgorica, Prague, Rabat and Skelleftea, the dozen fresh destinations will bring Stansted up to 126 routes in total.
In addition, the budget airline has announced it will enhance frequencies on 17 existing routes, which will deliver 1,300,000 extra passengers each year and help sustain over 1,300 jobs. Ryanair’s evolution at the UK's busiest single terminal airport will see their weekly flight numbers rise from 430 to 600 and boost passenger numbers at the airport to 14.5m per year

Regarding the growth, Michael O’Leary, CEO of Ryanair, said: “As Stansted’s biggest airline, Ryanair looks forward to growing traffic, routes and jobs at Stansted.”

Charlie Cornish, Chief Executive at MAG, commented: “The new destinations and increase in flights on key routes will offer passengers and businesses even more choice at great value and build on the strength of Ryanair’s extensive network at Stansted, the airline’s largest base in Europe.”

With passenger numbers expected to rise exponentially after April, travellers heading to Stansted in their own vehicle can save time and beat the crowds by taking advantage of airport parking from I Love meet and greet.
